SUMMARY:2016 MEMBER EVENT: Bad Girl Ventures - First-time Women Entrepreneur Classes
DESCRIPTION:Bad Girl Ventures (BGV) helps women build and sustain well-managed\, profitable businesses by providing them with guidance\, education and access to capital. Since 2011\, BGV has educated more than 300 entrepreneurs\, awarded more than $190\,000 in loans and facilitated more than $800\,000 in additional follow-on funding in Northeast Ohio.\n\n \n\nThis Spring\, BGV will introduce its newest program\, called EXPLORE\, in Kent. EXPLORE guides first-time entrepreneurs and early-stage business owners through the exploratory and ideation stage in order to validate a business idea. EXPLORE classes are taught by successful local business owners and professionals. At the end of the 9-week session\, students will be able to write a fundable business plan. Classes meet on Tuesdays from 6 pm to 9 pm at LaunchNET Kent State University. Free parking is available. Registration and a class schedule is available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/bgv-akronkent-spring-2016-explore-valid-for-9-classes-tickets-19815722359.  The deadline to register is March 4.
