\nKen \;Babby \;offically \;became Owner and Chief Executive Officer of the Akron \;Aeros \;on \;October 12\, 2012\, which was recently renamed The Akron Rubber Ducks. \; \;Babby \;entered into ownership of the formerly named Akron \;Aeros\, fully embracing a two fold mission: creating the most memorable\, unique\, affordable\, \;and enjoyable fan experience \;throughout \;minor league sports and maximizing the opportunity to create change in the community through charity\, wellness and education initiatives.
\n
\nPreviously \;Babby \;excelled in the media realm\, leading various advertising and revenue divisions of the Washington Post and washingtonpost.com. Most recently\, \;Babby \;was the Chief Revenue Officer of Washington Post Media and General Manager of Washington Post \;Digital\, \;a position he held since 2010. In this role\, he was responsible for leading digital business operations and all business aspects of digital product development including web\, \;mobile\, \;social and other digital platforms\, and oversight of Post Media revenues (digital &\; print). He also was \;responsible \;for business strategy and development\, and monetization\, of all digital products.

\nPrior to this \;role\, \;Babby \;was Vice President of Advertising for Washington Post Media with responsibility for the Post&rsquo\;s print and digital revenues. \;Babby \;joined \;The Washington Post in 1999 as a summer intern in IT. After completing internships at the newspaper and at washingtonpost.com (then Washington Post Newsweek \;Interactive)\, \;he joined the newspaper&rsquo\;s Marketing Department as an analyst. \;Babby \;transitioned to sales in 2004 as an Account Manager for technology \;advertising. \;Over the next several years\, \;his \;career followed an extraordinary trajectory when he became the Manager of Entertainment Advertising\, and later\, as Director of the Major Accounts Unit (with $320 million in annual revenues) to VP of Advertising for Washington Post \;Media\, \;and finally\, his most recent role as Chief Revenue Officer of Washington Post Media and \;General \;Manager of Washington Post \;Digital.

\nBabby \;holds a Bachelor&rsquo\;s degree in Computer Science and Economics from Wheaton College in Norton\, Massachusetts\, and an MBA from the Carey School of Business at Johns Hopkins University. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Wheaton College and \;previously \;served \;the Board of Directors of the \;OPA \;(Online Publishers Association). He has a four year old son named Joshua.
